Event A = Cats give birth to kittens...
Event B = Chicken lay eggs....
Event C= Dogs give birth to puppies......
Everyone of them is mutually exclusive.
Therefore the probability of their union will have to be added individually bcos how each of them give birth to their young have got nothing to do with each other.
